Children in the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico where I photographed while visiting in the summer of 2012.
She was very aware of the camera, and interested in the attention.
Seemingly naturally disposed in the art of posing…one of many fine shots she made for the camera.
One of the many proud daddies showing love for their children
Mom’s too, of course.
And big sisters!
Some children were shy, and didn’t quite get into it, even if I showed them the monitor image of themselves. This boy remained unsure.
Some were so engaged in their activities as to be oblivious of the camera. Boys and their bubbles.
This girl, totally self involved, running and dancing in the pedestrian street, Alacala of Oaxaca.
During a street event, band playing, people dancing, the crowd was bouncing this boy in the air.
Even the dog is not sure what to make of this boy’s actions.
During the opening of the annual festival of Oaxaca, the Guelaguetza, a truck rode into the main plaza of the Zócalo in the Centro Historico. Angels and all.
This girl in the role of angel was clearly a crowd favorite with dozens of cell-phone photogs clicking away.
Girl posing for the camera, beautiful.
Indeed. she’s a poser 😉
Angel on a truck, surreal.
It was a night of surreal images
